Before using, register and log in to your Get3D account.

Modeling

  1. Find [My dashboard] at the top right of the page and click on it.

3. Select [Create] to create a dataset.

4. Edit the spatial dataset name, select the capture date and capture device type, then click the box to check all the photos you've taken and upload them with one easy click!

Note:

If all photos do not contain location information, it will not start 3D reconstruction.

5. Click [upload] after uploading photos. You cannot close the page now, or the image will not be uploaded.

  • You can click [Auto-start] to start rebuilding the task automatically after uploading photos.

  • You can also wait until you've uploaded your pictures and confirmed them before you start the 3D reconstruction.

6. If you want to model a specific area, you can also edit the modelling area online or upload a KML file to set the modelling area. Ignore if not required.

7. Click [start], confirm the number of digital points consumed and stored for this task, and then submit.

Now, you can close the page and wait for the model to be rebuilt in the cloud; the platform will automatically notify your registered email address to remind you that the modelling is complete.

View 3D Models

  1. Open the successfully processed 3D model.

  • Rotate the model: hold the left mouse button and drag the mouse.

  • Zoom model: scroll wheel centre button

  • Pan model: hold the right mouse button and drag the mouse

  1. By switching between 2D/3D, you can view the presentation of the output layers in different dimensions.

Annotation and Measurement

Get3D Cloud provides various analysis tools to help you better apply and measure your models.

Mouse tool: It allows users to reduce the current action to an essential gesture.

Plot Point Tool: It allows the user to add point markers to annotate a location in the model.

Line Drawing Tool: It allows the user to draw line segments and extract the segments' distances. It also generates elevation profiles on the path of the line segments.

Plot Surface Tool: This allows the user to draw a base surface as a straight line and extract perimeter, area, and other measurements from it.

Circle Tool: It allows the user to draw a base plane as a circle and extract radius, area, perimeter and other measurements from it.

Volume Tool: This tool allows the user to draw a base plane, extract measurements such as perimeter, area, etc., and perform volume calculations.

Screenshot tool: it allows the user to take a screenshot of the current model window at the visualisation level and save it to a computer file.
