1 License Acquisition

After entering the GeeInsight software interface for the first time, you need to obtain a license to use the software for processing.

1.1 Online Activation

Get3D Account

Login Get3D account, you can get all the historical license information about GeeInsight software under that account. The available license information includes the license ID, the activation status of the ID, the valid of the license period, and the expiration date. Select available license to activate.

  • Log in Get3D account.

  • Refresh license list.

  • Select one license to be activated.

  • Click Activate button to activate it.

1.2 Offline Activation

License Document Mode

The other way to activate the official license applies when the PC is offline.

Firstly, export the machine code, and then in the personal account center on the web side, input the machine code to get the license file. Import the license file to the software and click Activate to complete the binding of machine code and license.

  • Copy or Export machine code.

  • Upload machine code and download license file.

  • Import license file and click Activate button.

Activated license information can be viewed in License Center.

1.3 License Information Management

For users who have already purchased the official version of the license, you can go to the official website personal center to view the complete license information and purchase history orders.

Note: Once the license activated, it can't be transferred to other computer. The license is bound to machine.

2 Project & Engine Setting

Go to Engine Settings under the project directory. Configure the monitoring directory and cache directory. The monitoring directory is used for the engine to receive tasks, and in cluster mode it should be set as a network path. Then start the engine.

After that, create a new project and set the project name and path.

3 SLAM Processing

Add Scan

Add scan stations by selecting the raw data folder exported from R200. The software will automatically validate the data. Once validated, proceed to the next step.

Process Setting

Select the stations to process and click “Process.” Set the output coordinate system. If RTK was used during acquisition, choose GNSS as the constraint source. If control points are available, they can also be used. Select the point cloud optimization options.

Confirm

After confirmation, the software will start processing.

4 View & Edit Point Cloud Edit

After processing is complete, use the shortcut buttons on the left to switch display modes: True color, intensity, elevation, time, file-based display, etc.

You can also use tools such as measurement and section analysis for further inspection.

5 Modeling

The software supports mesh reconstruction. After editing the point cloud, select the station and choose mesh modeling to start processing.

Once completed, you can view the model in GeeInsight or right-click the dataset and open it in Get3D Viewer.

6 Export Result

Select the station, right-click to export data, and choose the desired data type and format.
