ModelFun includes built-in texture editing tools, accessible directly in the OBJ view. Draw an area and edit texture using editing tools. The modified textures are instantly displayed in the OBJ view.
Selection Methods
Rectangle – Draw a rectangular selection area.
Lasso – Draw a freeform selection.
Polygon – Draw a polygonal selection area.
Editing Tools
Fix Patch – Define an area to be patched and drag the selected texture to cover it.
Copy Patch – Copy and move a selected texture to a new position. Adjust the feather radius value for the edit area.
Heal Spot – Use content-aware fill to repair texture imperfections.
Adjust Color – Draw an area and fine-tune texture colors with:
Brightness/Contrast – Adjust overall tone and contrast.
Hue/Saturation – Adjust specific color ranges or all colors.
HSI - Adjust hue, saturation and intensity.
1) Select Area – In the OBJ view, draw a selection box around the area that needs editing. The software captures the texture of the selected area based on the current view.
2) Auto-Link to Photoshop – The texture automatically opens in Photoshop for editing.
3) Save & Apply – After editing, simply save the file. The changes will instantly update in the OBJ view.
First-Time Setup: If Photoshop is not linked, configure its file path in the settings window to enable this feature.
For complex and detailed models with occlusion issues, you can unwrap the UV of the selected area and edit it in Photoshop.
1) Select Area – In the OBJ view, draw a selection box around the area that needs UV unwrapping. The software generates the unwrapped texture map based on the selected area.
2) Auto-Link to Photoshop – The unwrapped texture automatically opens in Photoshop for detailed editing.
3) Save & Apply – After editing, save the file, and the changes will instantly update in the OBJ view.
To use the AT Mapping feature, you need set the AT file first. Open the Project > Setting option, click AT Setting, select the AT file path and photo path, then click OK after setup.
1) Draw Mapping Area – In the OBJ view, select AT Mapping and draw the texture projection area.
2) Auto Image Selection – The system will automatically select multiple matching images, displaying them in the Image List.
3) UV Adjustment – If UV unwrapping is needed for specific regions, click Edit UV and define the unwrapping area.
4) Apply Match – Choose the most suitable image and click Texture Mapping to preview the texture mapping effect. Click OK to finalize.
